The Great Ride

In 1821 in northern Florida the first American cowboys were merging out of the Jesuit priest and Indians who watched over the first cattle brought over by the conquistadors 100 years earlier. In 1821 in St. Louis Missouri Aashley is 100 which forms and began Exploration and settling of the reason the Louisiana purchase

We allowed modern society to overwhelm the simple country life that provided a wonderful life for our ancestors. But now from the great great grandson of the first cowboy and one of the first towns created by Cowboy to ship cattle Barberville Florida. And from here we’re gonna open up a trail and then trailers gonna go from Barberville to Yellowstone Montana.

We are going to create a legacy for future generations and for this generation because we’re gonna do it now we gotta open the trail so you can get on a horse and ride across the United States as you could use 200 years ago.

Sam Barber films has made the initial investment to get the project started and to begin the research today out the trails and potential trails. The next step requires $12,000 a small amount.

After that amount of money is raised and legal documents filed we will need an estimated $100,000 to be used in the following manner:

For permitting, research ,communication, by phone ,zoom calls and  email. There will be many Meetings including travel and lodging to various locations where  necessary. It will include fees and permits and rights of way which will need to be linked together to make one continuous trail.

Greetings!

Sam Barber Films has begun the process of creating a horse trail from Florida to Montana. This bold new vision will create a new type of trail. A made in America trail. A trail that will bridge today, tomorrow and yesterday. It will be A passageway for dreams.

Sam has pioneered half a dozen projects which changed America for the better. From Ralph Nadar to John Denver from the Rocky Mountain Institute to SRI.

The same success that Americans are enjoying from the ever increasing hiking trails can be duplicated with a horse trail. And automatically the horse trail is a times two,  because every rider has a horse.

This project is meant to empower local authorities to create and maintain their portion of the trail. We will become experts at passageways; around over and through; private and public lands, tribal lands, fences, roads, highways, rivers, streams, and people.

The trail will have additional demands which create additional income opportunity:
  • for Native Americans to present their culture and generate new forms of income. I see camps set out just like the early 1800’s. People will pay to be a part of it . To experience history not just read about it.
  • for reenactors, small businesses, retailers, local craftsmen, and suppliers to develop new income streams.

There will be a beautiful new wildlife corridor with increase local support for birds and all forms of wildlife, at this desperate environmental time. There will be: more memories, more campfires , more open minds.

A place to share cultures and history and nature. The very heart of America.

Please join me in this endeavor.
